JacTravel welcomes back Francesco de Marchis
Francesco de Marchis has rejoined JacTravel as chief technology officer, reporting to CEO Terry Williamson.
De Marchis worked for the B2B travel wholesaler from May 2008 until December 2010 and then left to take other roles in the industry.
His career has also seen him head up the technology departments for Orbitz and Lowcost Travel Group.
Announcing the re-appointment, Williamson said: "Technology is a critical enabler to the delivery of our future success, and we felt it was time to have a dedicated leader within the Board to help deliver our next generation platform and implement the strategy needed to create market leading technology environments in our fast changing sector
"As we expand globally it is important we become flexible and adaptable in our approach, and bring to market enhanced capabilities tailored to individual partner requirements."
The company’s chief operating officer, Stuart Nassos, will now focus on his non-IT roles, which include heading up customer operations, content management and HR responsibilities.
"I’d like to thank Stuart for his leadership of IT to date," said Williamson.
"Stuart will focus on enhancing and improving our customer operations as we globalise the business and deliver the requirements for a worldwide customer bases using our centre of excellence based in Romania."
