JAL replaces all seats on London flights
Japan Airlines is to install new seats in every cabin on its international fleet of 777-300ER aircraft, including those operating daily flights from Heathrow.
The airline claimed the new seats would increase comfort levels for passengers in all four classes of its flagship aircraft. The refit will start in January.
Fully-flat business class beds will also be introduced on JAL’s fleet of 767 aircraft, followed by a complete renewal of seats in every other class beginning in the second half of 2013.
In both economy and premium economy, passengers will gain a wider seat pitch, and wider TV screens will be installed in all premium cabins.
