Jamaica escapes Hurricane Emily
A hurricane warning has been lifted in Jamaica with the passing of Hurricane Emily.
Flights were reinstated at airports at Kingston and Montego Bay yesterday and all tourism regions reported little or no damage, according to the tourism minister.
Aloun N’Dombet-Assamba, the island’s industry and tourism minister, said: “Jamaica is thankful once again for being spared the brunt of Hurricane Emily. All tourism regions are open for business and ready to receive guests.”
