Japan Airlines to begin codesharing with Vietjet
Japan Airlines has announced it will begin codesharing with budget carrier Vietjet this week.
With effect from October 23, JAL customers will get access to through ticketing on international routes linking Vietnam and Japan operated by Vietjet as well as domestic destinations in its flight network.
These include Hanoi to Osaka and flights linking Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City.
The codeshare pact covers travel from October 28 and the airlines aim to further expand the alliance to include more domestic routes in Vietnam as well as for JAL’s domestic flights.
The two airlines signalled their planned cooperation with the signing of a MOU back in 2017.
