Japan eases entry rules
Japan further relaxed entry rules on foreign tourists, allowing small groups into Japan without the need for a guide.
However individual travellers must organise their trips through a travel agency.
All tourists are still required to apply for visas before travelling to Japan.
Jacanas increased the daily capacity for incoming travellers to 50,000
A sudden surge in visitors is not expected as its major source markets are still subject to strict travel restrictions.
These include China and Taiwan which together make up nearly half of all arrivals
