Jet Airways offering bid upgrades for premium seats
Indian full service carrier Jet Airways is climbing aboard the bidding bandwagon to lure more flyers into upgrading to premium service.
The service allows passengers with confirmed economy or premiere bookings to post bids for upgrades to premiere or first class seats.
Offers can be made on the Jet Airways’ website via the ‘manage my booking’ tab and must be made at least 24 hours before scheduled departure.
The bidding programme is available for routes serving all the airline’s 65 domestic and international destinations.
An updated e-ticket will be sent to each winning bidder.
"If your booking is eligible for an upgrade, you will receive an email invitation to bid or purchase instantly 7 days before departure. Only successful bids will be charged," the airline said.
The airline also has an Instant Upgrade scheme, which allows for instant confirmation of upgrades for a fixed fee.
