Jet Airways to return as hybrid carrier
The new Jet Airways will come back as a hybrid carrier. Newly appointed CEO, Sanjiv Kapoor said Jet will return as a full-service airline but with ‘an economy class able to compete at LCC fare levels.’
It will have a full-service business class with free meals, as well economy class ‘modelled similar to low-cost carriers where flyers pay for meals and other services,’ he said.
Jet Airways collapsed in 2019 under huge debt and is now under the ownership of the Jalan Kalrock consortium.
