Jet2.com expands in north east

Jet2.com is to launch five new routes from Newcastle Airport for 2011, making it the carrier offering the most international routes from the north east.
The airline will fly to Krakow, Prague, Alicante, Faro and Toulouse. This brings the Jet2 network to 24 destinations.
Prague services start in November this year to coincide with the city’s famous Christmas markets.
An extra 737 will be added to Jet2’s fleet next May to cope with the new services. The airline says it expects passenger growth to shoot up by 40% in 2011.
The airline also plans to offer further services on exisiting summer routes, to Ibiza, Mahon, Malaga, Tunisia, Murcia and Palma.
