Jet2.com launches new flight from UK to Budapest
Jet2.com is launching a new direct route from East Midlands to Budapest from November 8.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: "We’re thrilled to be the only airline to give travellers from East Midlands and Central England direct flights to this popular central European city, right from their doorstep.
"We’ve made this route available following huge customer demand so we are very confident it will be a great success."
Kam Jandu, director of aviation at Budapest airport, said: "Not only will this have a positive impact on the local economy, but it will give the people of Budapest a much needed link to Central England."
Jet2 already serves Budapest from Edinburgh and Manchester.
