Jet2 delays resumption of flights and holidays
Jet2 and Jet2holidays have delayed the resumption of flights and holidays until July 15.
Operations had previously been suspended until July 1. Jet2 said it would continue to monitor the situation very closely.
It said it was committed to working in partnership with independent travel agents and was ‘very proud’ of the feedback it has received so far.
Jet2 came out top in a social media campaign, Smashed It, launched by TravelMole in March, giving agents the chance to give a shout out to companies which had gone the extra mile with customer service during the lockdown.
Jet2holidays also performed well in a survey by moneysavingexpert.com for the way it dealt with cancellation refunds.
"We can assure all agents affected by today’s announcement that they will receive the same level of service," Jet2 and Jet2holidays said in a statement.
"We are working closely with all relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone enjoying our flights and holidays, and we will be introducing a range of safety measures on our aircraft and transfer vehicles. We are also working closely with airport, hotel and tourist board partners to ensure that appropriate health and safety measures are implemented. Further details will be announced in due course."
