Jet2 set to take flight from London Gatwick
Jet2 will soon land in Gatwick.
The leisure airline will start offering London Gatwick departures for the first time from March 2026.
The airport released more capacity enabling Jet2 to take six slots.
The airline says it will create hundreds of jobs, including pilots, cabin crew and ground operations.
It will initially offer Gatwick routes to 29 destinations, like Spain and the Canary Islands, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Malta and Italy.
Jet2’s maiden departure will be to Tenerife.
Gatwick Airport becomes Jet2’s 14th UK base, accommodating five aircraft.
Gatwick Airport CEO Pierre-Hugues Schmit said he is ‘thrilled to mark an exciting new chapter for our passengers across the South East and beyond.’
