Jet2 takes delivery of new Boeing aircraft
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have taken delivery of the first of 30 brand new Next Generation 737-800 aircraft from Boeing.
The new aircraft, which seats 189 passengers, was handed over at a special ceremony at Boeing’s Seattle Delivery Center in the US.
The aircraft will make its maiden flight to the UK, landing at Leeds Bradford Airport, where special finishing touches will be made before its inaugural flight in the next few weeks.
The other 29 new aircraft will be delivered over the next two years to support the ongoing growth at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
The airline and its tour operator sister company have launched their biggest ever flights and holidays programme for 2017 and recently announced new bases at Birmingham and London Stansted.
