Jet2 winter losses ‘lower than expected’
Jet2 and Jet2 Holidays have achieved lower than expected winter losses.
Their parent, Dart Group, says this means its full-year profit until the end of March will be ahead of ‘current market expectations’.
The Group will publish its Preliminary Results for the year ended March 31 2017 on July 13.
In a trading update today, it said forward bookings in the leisure travel business for summer 2017 are satisfactory.
"Although it is still early in the leisure travel booking cycle, given current forward bookings and the recent successful launch of our new operating bases at London Stansted and Birmingham airports, the Board expects to meet current market expectations of profit before taxation for the year ending March 31 2018," it said.
