JetBlue adds Mexico City flights from Florida
JetBlue is doubling service to four daily flights linking Mexico City and Florida, with two flights each from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
"Our ability to now offer Mexico City service twice daily with improved flight times between these two growing Florida focus cities positions JetBlue for even greater success in one of the most important major markets in the Americas," said John Checketts, vice president network planning, JetBlue.
"It’s a win for customers on each end of these routes."
The new schedules take effect from early September on Airbus A320 aircraft.
The additional slots allocated to JetBlue at Mexico City were recently awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation as a condition of the Delta Air Lines-Aeromexico joint venture.
The new flights and revised timings better align with more connecting flights on the airline’s network, JetBlue said.
Seats are on sale now with a limited time introductory fare of $99 one-way.
