JetBlue announces new Mint expansion
JetBlue has unveiled the latest expansion phase of its premium Mint service, with two daily flights between Boston and Las Vegas getting a Mint makeover in early January.
The airline previously announced Mint service on its New York JFK flights to Las Vegas, which begin this November.
From February, its two daily Boston-Seattle flights will offer Mint service and New York-Seattle in April.
That will increase to 10 the number of routes with Mint service out of JFK.
Also in early 2018, there will be more Mint options on the Boston-San Francisco and New York-Los Angeles routes, with the latter offering the premium service on up to 11 flights a day.
The expansion is possible due to JetBlue’s new fleet of configured Airbus A321s, which includes lthe Mint lie-flat seats and custom in-flight menu and extra amenities.
"We’re bringing even more Mint to markets in every corner of our route map where travelers are overdue for an upgrade to the so-called ‘first-class’ flights offered by other airlines," said Marty St. George, executive vice president commercial and planning, JetBlue.
"In every city where we’ve introduced Mint we’ve transformed the premium travel business and boosted overall performance on the routes."
