JetBlue hires president for new travel products division
JetBlue Airways has announced the appointment of Andres Barry as president of new subsidiary, JetBlue Travel Products.
He will lead growth strategy for the JetBlue Vacations brand and all non-air products which include travel insurance, cruises and car rentals.
Barry brings extensive travel and tourism industry as partner and managing director at The Boston Consulting Group where he worked with leading brands on commercial growth and digital innovation.
He will be based in JetBlue’s main support center at Long Island City, N.Y, reporting to CEO Robin Hayes.
"By creating JetBlue Travel Products, we are setting the foundation for the next level of ancillary earnings growth as we build on the great JetBlue brand through this capital-light and high margin part of our business. We are delighted to welcome Andres to lead the team as we extend JetBlue’s reach further into the travel ribbon," Hayes said.
