JetBlue teams up for Turkish Airlines codeshare
JetBlue Airways and Turkish Airlines have teamed up with a codeshare agreement offering more seamless connections between their flights networks.
Turkish Airlines will place its TK code on 24 selected JetBlue-operated routes from New York JFK and Boston Logan airports including Baltimore, Detroit, Tampa, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.
Turkish Airlines flies up to three times a day to New York from its hub at Istanbul Ataturk airport, and has just launched its first nonstop service between Istanbul and Boston.
It flies to over 200 international destinations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
"We are delighted to begin codeshare operations with Turkish Airlines just as the carrier is expanding its USA. network to include our growing Boston focus city," said Scott Laurence, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning.
The JetBlue-Turkish Airlines agreement gives customers one-stop through ticketing and baggage check in combining the flight networks of both carriers.
JetBlue operates over 800 flights a day to 85 cities in the US, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
