Jetstar dumps agents by setting up traveller booking site and launches international fares today.

Thursday, 24 Jul, 2006 0

It appears that Jetstar is cutting out the travel agent providing a dynamic packaging web site to allow travellers design and book holiday packages across its international and domestic network.

Jetstar which will reveal its international fares for the first time today will give users of their dynamic packaging technology to book flights, hotels and cars discounted package rates.

Jetstar CEO Alan Joyce said the airline hoped to introduce the international dynamic packaging later this year or early next year, adding “We’ve launched our Jetstar Holidays with technology on our website that packages domestic holidays and there are major system enhancements coming, with the dynamic packaging software that allows you to package up components of holidays”.

Jetstar has already announced its launch destinations for its international services and Mr Joyce promised the new fares would be “very, very attractive and they will generate a lot of interest.”
