Jordan has become the first tourism office in the Middle East to launch a live chat facility on its website, which is available five days a week.

The service has been designed to make it easier for international visitors to plan trips to the country.

Online chat is available at www.visitjordan.com in both Arabic and English from Sunday to Thursday from 08:00 to 17:00  local Amman time (GMT +3:00).

The JTB said a two-week testing period yielded ‘overwhelmingly positive’ feedback from users around the world.

The chat feature is available n most pages of the website.

JTB managing director Dr Abed Al-Razzaq Arabiyat said: "These new developments allow guests to ask any question they might have about tourism in Jordan live and get an immediate answer by qualified staff managing the chat feature."
