Jucy’s Choppa read to go
SYDNEY – Jucy Rentals is introducing its next generation four sleeper ‘Choppa’ campervan to Australia,
Jucy, which launched in New Zealand in 2002, is adding 100 new vehicles to the existing fleet in Australia.
“In order to continue positive growth in 2009-10, we understand that we need to keep working harder and invest in our staff, marketing and the development of Jucy’s fleet, to ensure that when the times do pick up, we will be there for our customers,†says Tim Alpe, Jucy Rentals CEO.
The 100 new vehicles, 80 of which will be Choppa campervans, will bring Jucy’s investment in Australia to $7.5 million to date, with a total fleet of 300 vehicles.
“No one has ever introduced 300 campervans within their first 18 months of business,†said Alpe.
The new campervans will feature four seats, two double beds, a DVD and MP3 player, water tank, fridge, electric cooling fan, double gas cooker and a safe to store passports and valuables.
The Choppa also expands vertically with ‘The Penthouse’ to sleep two people in the top section of the van. The Penthouse has its own DVD player.
“While our vans have traditionally suited couples, the next generation Choppa will be ideal for families and groups of four,†said Alpe.
