Jumeirah signs first deal for new lifestyle hotel brand
Jumeirah Group has signed the first management agreement for its new contemporary lifestyle hotel brand Venu.
An agreement with Dubai-based development company Meraas Holding will see Jumeirah operate the Venu Bluewaters Island Hotel, on a mixed-use development being created off the coast of Dubai.
Scheduled to open in 2017, the Venu development will have nearly 300 hotel rooms and 119 serviced apartments.
Bluewaters Island is the latest major development in Dubai and will have retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones plus the world’s largest Ferris wheel.
The Venu Bluewaters Island Hotel will have beachfront access, restaurants, a spa and conference and meeting facilities.
Venu will operate as an independent brand aimed at guests with a passion for ‘simplicity and style’.
The new management agreement brings the total number of Jumeirah properties in the pipeline to 26, in addition to the 22 existing properties in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
