Kayak opening first hotel in Miami Beach
Kayak is expanding from hotel search to hotel ownership. Kayak is getting into the brick and mortar hospitality game with its own hotel in Miami Beach’s Art Deco district. It plans to open next month.
Kayak aims to offer a boutique experience with high tech hospitality enhancements. It will also serve as a design lab as Kayak tests out upgrades to the app and other accommodation tech in a real world hotel setting.
Kayak plans more hotels in the future, starting possibly on the West Coast and then in Europe. It is also considering a short-term rental accommodation site in Boston
