Kids to get digital Covid passes in half-term holiday boost

Friday, 24 Jan, 2022 0

Secondary school age children could be set to get access to a digital Covid pass in order to travel overseas.

Children aged 12-15 are expected to be able to use the digital Covid pass by next month, The Telegraph reports.

It would be a welcome boost for travel firms ahead of the half-term holidays.

Currently, children must request letters from the NHS confirming full vaccination status.

Several countries including France require all children to be double vaccinated.

In addition the government is set to ease more international travel restrictions

This is expected to include tests for all inbound travellers arriving in the UK.

A decision could be taken at today’s meeting of the Covid-O committee.
