Kids to keep fit with holiday gyms

State of the art gyms for children are to be introduced by UK summer camp operator Club Beaumont.

The company has used Italian fitness firm Panatta to design the gymnasiums incorporating equipment use and group activities.

Club Beaumont, which has five UK summer camps, admits the move comes as the government seeks to act againt youth obesity.

Marketing director Jonathan Barber said: “We are very aware of the government’s and parents’ concerns about obesity and children’s lack of lack of exercise and believe the gyms will play an importnat role in our commitment to encourage children to choose a healthy lifestyle.”
