Kimpton Hotels to debut in Malaysia
IHG’s Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand is coming to Malaysia.
A management agreement was inked with LQ Retail Sdn Bhd to introduce the brand at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur.
It will feature 471 rooms and three F&B outlets including a rooftop bar.
The rooftop will also house a swimming pool.
The hotel will have a fitness centre and a variety of meeting rooms.
It is slated to open in 2023.
The Exchange TRX is being touted as KL’s future central business district with residential, commercial and entertainment outlets as well as an integrated 10-acre city park.
"We are thrilled to welcome IHG on board and look forward to partner a hotel company with a track record of operational excellence and a true understanding of the modern guests’ needs," said Azmar Talib, CEO of TRX City.
Kimpton currently operates more than 70 hotels and 85 restaurants, bars and lounges in urban and resort destinations globally.
