King rules in Melbourne
Peter King has been appointed as chief executive of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
King is currently CEO of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, one of the largest event and venue management organisations in Australia.
In his current role, King has overseen the largest single event in Australia – Sydney’s Royal Easter Show.
He has also played a leading role in securing government investment for the new $65 million, 25,000-seat Main Arena Stadium which, amongst other things, will host the Greater Western Sydney Aussie Rules team.
King replaces long-serving Leigh Harry.
