KLM upgrades with Amadeus
Travel agents in Europe can now access the complete public inventory of KLM fares after the airline signed an agreement with Amadeus.
The new technology will give the trade the ability to book KLM flights with no GDS surcharge on these bookings.
Agents will get the same fares and last seat availability as any website, including KLM’s own, as well as the airline’s own reservation system and any other GDS.
Rob Westerman, KLM director distribution strategy, said: “By signing this agreement we confirm that both Amadeus and the travel agent continue to be a valuable distribution channel for us.”
Around 50 European airlines have now signed up for this service with Amadeus, which is called Full Content Option.
