Korean Air A380 “the most spacious in the industry”

Tuesday, 30 Dec, 2010 0

Premium class travellers on Korean Air’s new A380s will “feel like they are travelling in their own private jet” as the whole second deck will be devoted to just 94 business class seats.

Korean Air says this makes it the airline to offer the least seats and the most space on its A380s.

The airline will introduce the luxury-configured A380s in May 2011 – the first of ten new A380s it has on order.

Prestige class passengers will enjoy lie flat beds with 74 inches between seats and jumbo size partitions that are usually associated with first class travel.

The plane will also have 12 first class seats and 301 economy class seats.

Senior vice president Walter Cho said: “Korean Air’s A380 is one of the most spacious in the industry when you consider that our economy class seats are spaced almost three feet apart and our Prestige Class pitch is over six feet. That’s a comfort level that will provide us with a competitive edge”.
