Korean Air receives first A380
Korean Air has received the first of ten A380s it has on order and says it will put it into service between Incheon and Tokyo’s Narita airports on June 17.
The South Korean flag carrier will receive the first five super jets by the end of this year and the rest by 2014.
An A380 will service the carrier’s Bangkok route in July when the next plane arrives and a third will start flying to New York in August. In October, it will service its Los Angeles route with the jet.
The A380 features 12 luxurious first-class seats and 301 economy-class seats on the main lower deck, plus 94 business-class lie-flat seats on the upper deck.
