Kuoni, VisitBritain and MAXjet shine in awards for top women in travel
Kuoni UK boss Sue Biggs, Claire Hancer, responsible for VisitBritain’s England sales and trade marketing, and Carolyn Moxon, UK managing director of MAXjet Airways, are among winners in the 2007 SHINE Awards.
The awards recognise the most successful and inspirational women in the UK travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
Biggs was named Woman of the Year, Hancer was Public Sector Woman of the Year while Moxon was Business Woman of the Year – Large Enterprises.
Other winners were Knock Travel (Company of the Year), Glaziers Hall managing director Janice Weiner (Business Woman of the Year – SME), Edwards & Blake director Shirley Edwards (Business Owner of the Year), New Park Manor Hotel and Spa general manager Leigh Jenkins (Young Achiever of the Year) and Business in Sport & Leisure CEO Brigid Simmonds (Industry Expert of the Year).
