Aussie idol chosen to become “the perfect antidote to winter gloom”

Pint-sized pop princess Kylie Minogue is to become “the face of British Airways” today when she launches a new brochure for the company.

The chanteuse, who has this week been voted the world’s sexiest pop star, will launch the airline’s “Tropical Beaches” brochure. A spokesman for the diminutive diva’s record company EMI told The Sun: “They have got her on board to persuade more British people to go on long-haul holidays because the industry has been struggling. Kylie is the ideal choice because she is the perfect antidote to winter gloom.”

And though the newspaper insists that the “scantily clad” uber-idol will “don her bikini and urge Britons to put their holiday fears behind them”, a British Airways spokesman told News From Abroad that Ms Minogue will not be disrobing. She said: “The photo shoot will be happening in Covent Garden and it is highly unlikely that Kylie will be taking her clothes off.”

We should be so lucky.
