La Samanna offers Spa Adventure
La Samanna in St. Martin, French West Indies, has introduced its “Spa Adventure” — a special offering that includes nutrition advice, numerous spa services, take-home beauty products, exercise sessions, gourmet meals and more.
“Increasingly, higher-end travel agents are finding spas to be profit centers,” Audra Poole, director of public relations for Orient-Express Hotels, told TravelMole.
She said Spa Adventure is different because it is an all-encompassing experience that personalizes a complete spa program.
Guests can choose anything from an anti-stress session with a full body massage to slimming sessions or beauty procedures such as body scrubs.
Also available is a Pilates session for two in the island’s only Pilates studio, and a private fitness training session for two.
Ms Poole, who is based in the US, quoted studies showing that destination spas that advise users how to improve their physical well-being are rising sharply in popularity.
“The mission of a destination spa is to motivate and enlighten guests on how to achieve healthier, more joyous living,” said Michelle Kleist, executive director of Destination Spa Group, an organization of 25 spas that provide health-renewing experiences.
The Spa Adventure also includes meals, round-trip airport transfers and beauty products. Ocean view accommodations start at $3,385 per couple.
