Las Vegas pushing for more international visitors
Las Vegas is planning to increase the capacity of its airport to attract more passengers from Asia, particularly China.
It has announced a $51 million project to build seven new international gates capable of handling double-decker A380 aircraft at McCarran International Airport.
The airport fears it is missing out as other airports such as Boston, Seattle and Houston win more direct flights from Asia.
McCarran International handled 42.9 million passengers last year and has a capacity of about 55 million.
