Last chance to vote in ABTA election
Voting for the new ABTA chairman ends today.
The two candidates – All Leisure Group chairman Roger Allard and Sunvil chairman Noel Josephides – have wrapped up their campaigns and must now wait until early July to hear the result.
The two candidates have outlined their priorities should they become elected.
Allard said he would like to find a way to bring costs down for members, while maintaining protection for consumers.
He also wants to reduce business operational costs and red tape for retailers and tour operators alike.
But his opponent Josephides said while cutting costs is high on his and ABTA’s agenda, it’s not that straightforward.
He said it’s pointless promising something that may sound enticing but which cannot be delivered "because of a lot of external factors over which I have no control".
Postal votes must be returned to Electoral Reform Services by today (Friday June 28).
