Lastminute.com bounces back

There were mixed fortunes for travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s equity markets pushed ahead.

 

The FTSE 100 index gained 36.5 points to end the day at 4350.9, while the FTSE 250 added 40.6 points to close at 5875.

 

By far the biggest move of the day came at lastminute.com, whose shares bounced back 12p to close at 106.5p. According to The Guardian, a number of financial institutions were in the market for shares in the online retailer; the share’s price rise was the biggest in the FTSE 250.
