Lastminute.com shares on the rise
Travel and tourism shares had a difficult session yesterday – with one notable exception – as London’s equity markets lost ground.
The FTSE 100 index lost 14.6 points to end the day at 4996.1, while the FTSE 250 had a similar day and dropped 14.6 points to close at 7253.
Lastminute.com shares, however, had a very successful day and added 6.25p to close at 110.25p. The Guardian reports that the rise was partly due to more rumours of a bid approach by Expedia.
