Latam notches passenger traffic record for 2024
LATAM Airlines Group saw a sizable rise in passenger traffic in 2024, up 11% year over year, at 82 million passengers.
This is an all time high.
Last month it transported 7.3 million passengers, up 5.4% increase.
During December, the group increased its consolidated capacity, in available seat-kilometers (ASK), by 10.9% compared to December 2023.
This was mainly driven by a 16.1% increase in international operations.
New international routes launched from Santiago, Chile to Bariloche in Argentina, Recife in Brazil and Punta del Este in Uruguay, as well as from Lima, Peru to Montego Bay in Jamaica and Rosario in Argentina.
In December, the consolidated load factor was 84.8%, and for the full year, 84.3.
