Late deals across the Alps

  • Eurostar has launched a ski sale offering thousands of fares at £119 return (down from £189) in standard class or £219 in Standard Premier, for travel from London to the Swiss Alps. The sale ends on March 11 and is valid for travel between March 2 and April 13.  The service introduced this season, travels from St Pancras  International and Ashford International to the heart of the Swiss Alps and the Valais region, via Lille, giving access to Verbier, Zermatt, Saas Fee and Gstaad.
  • Powder White is offering a saving of £300pp on a seven-night fully catered chalet holiday starting on March 16 at the Chalet Tison in Meribel, which now costs £399pp. The chalet, which sleeps eight, provides beakfast, afternoon tea and a three-course dinner. The operator is also offering a saving of €200 per room, per night and free half-board at the 29-room Kristiania in Lech. The offer is valid in selected rooms and suites for stays of a minimum of seven nights between March 7 and April 20, including over Easter. Seven nights in a double room now costs from €2,520, a saving of €1,400, based on two sharing.
  • Skiweekends is offering two-for-one on lift passes for the Meribel area on its weekend breaks by coach. Prices start from £279 including travel and half-board accommodation at the Club Hotel Verseau.
  • Ski Total is  offering Chalet Les Lauzes in Avoriaz for £669pp (was £798pp) for seven nights from March 17.  The price includes flights from Gatwick, transfers and seven nights’ catered chalet accommodation.
  • Esprit Ski is offering Chalet Cleopatra in La Rosière for £569pp (was £639pp), departing on March 10. Seven nights for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children under 12) costs £2,276, including flights, transfers and half-board catered  accommodation.
  • HostelsClub.com has budget accommodation in various ski resorts across the Alps, including in Fussen, Bavaria from £16pppn at the House LA City Hostel, which is a few miles from the German ski resort of Garmisch. It also offers B&B accommodation at the Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof in Grindelwald, which includes free entry to public swimming pools, from £20pppn.
