Latest spa treatment: freeze to near death
For those used to soft music and aromatic oils, try the Haikko Spa for a real change of pace. The spa in Porvoo, Finland is offering what is being labeled a “near death freezing experience” as a spa treatment.
It was reportedly is inspired from the Arctic.
The treatment, known as “cyrotherapy,” involves entering an enclosed cyrogenic chamber, where the temperature is set around 184 degree F.
How long can you stay without damage?
About two minutes or the experience could lead to hypothermia or death.
What’s the goal?
Eliminate toxins and improve the immune system, according to advocates.
