LD Lines to launch high speed ferry from Dover
LD Lines will launch a new high speed ferry service between Dover and Boulogne from May 29.
The new ferry, Norman Arrow, will operate an additional four return sailings daily, alongside the current two return sailings daily by conventional ferry.
The new craft will operate at speeds of 40 knots, provide a crossing time of just one hour and has capacity for 1200 passengers, 417 cars, or combination of 195 cars and up to 30 freight vehicles.
LD Lines has announced a special introductory offer of 2000 tickets from £27.50 each way for a car and four passengers.
Based on a five-day return, the offer is subject to availability, must be booked by May 28 and is valid for travel to the end of September 2009.
From 1 June, the new Dover-Boulogne service will also be available for foot passengers to travel to and from Boulogne on selected sailings. Foot passenger fares start from £9 each way.
