Leading Indian MICE Specialist Appoints Australian Representative

Sydney-based specialist hospitality and tourism marketing company, Ceyeco Marketing, has been appointed to represent Incent Tours India, with Claire Oxlade, General Manager, Ceyeco Marketing, saying she was delighted to be a part of the Incent Tours India team.

“India is one of the hottest destinations in the world and part of this growth has been fuelled by the increasing importance of the MICE market.”  “With a 25 year track record of successfully organising MICE events in India, Nepal and Bhutan, the Delhi-based company is a recognised leader in the corporate business meeting and incentive arena,” she said.

While Incent Tours India has representatives in France and the UK, this is the first time that the company has realised the potential of the Australian market and appointed a representative office to offer highly personalised quality service.

Incent Tours India has a dedicated team of professionals with offices in New Delhi and Mumbai but is able to organise events in tandem with associate offices located in key cities throughout the country, said Ms Oxlade.

India has major conference and exhibition facilities in 10 major cities and areas from Mumbai, New Delhi and Goa to Chennai, Jaipur and Hyderabad.  The latter city, the state capital of Andhra Pradesh, has India’s first purpose-built MICE venue, the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

Incent Tours India’s ability to showcase India’s rich cultural traditions by combining a MICE event around one of the country’s many fairs and festivals – where appropriate – is another major advantage, she added.

For instance, some of the cultural programmes attached to Durga Pooja, the biggest festival in West Bengal, can be included in a MICE event for up to 550 guests planned in the Crystal Room of the grand Taj Bengal in Kolkata.

Highlights of the highly colourful Desert Festival of Rajasthan can be incorporated into a unique incentive set in the medieval desert town of Jaisalmer.

Other add-on possibilities for incentives or post conference tours can include a visit to an IT centre in Bangalore or a Bollywood set in Mumbai.

Team building can be achieved through corporate participation in camel races, elephant polo games or golfing on courses that date back 100 years.

India has the facilities to host large scale events while Incent Tours India has the experience to make them successful, said Ms Oxlade.
