Leger website features Google Earth
Leger Holidays claims to be the first UK coach operator to add Google Earth technology to its website.
The facility gives users the option of viewing Leger breaks using the satellite technology of Google Earth.
By downloading the ‘Leger Layer’ for Google Earth, it is possible to explore the operator’s destinations with pictures, photographs and information. There is also a direct link to the Leger website for details of how to book.
The company’s web development manager Michael Rhodes said: “The addition of this programme to our website really opens the doors for our customers. With new photos of destinations, clear route mapping and full details of holidays displayed in the Google Earth side panel, Leger guests really do know what they are getting when they book.
“The feedback so far has been very positive and many past customers have found that the technology has led them to look at different breaks with us. The extra destination information and satellite images available, provides the inspiration to book something new.”
“We pride ourselves on ensuring that the website is user friendly and this is just the latest feature to help visitors to the site. Leger was the first in the UK travel industry to have a website compliant with the W3C Organisation’s ‘AAA’ standard, highlighting its ease of use.”
Leger is the third travel company behind Thomson and British Airways to adopt this feature.
Download instructions are available on the homepage of the website: www.legerbreaks.info
