Lombok’s Karma Reef resort set to fully reopen after post-quake renovation
The beachfront resort Karma Reef, located on Lombok’s offshore Gili Meno, will be fully back in business on March 4, just ahead on the Nyepi holiday.
The resort has been undergoing renovations since the earthquake that struck in August 2018, and will sport a brand new Karma Beach restaurant and Tiki Bar.
It will also unveil an updated Karma Spa Tent, one bedroom sea front and sea view tents and one bedroom sea front bungalows.
Karma Reef’s ‘lumbung’ two-story bungalows are a stylish take on Lombok’s traditional rice barn architecture and feature fixtures in stone and tropical hardwoods, alongside contemporary furnishings.
The upper-level double bedroom with a private balcony overlooks the sea.
The sea front tents have a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with hot water rain shower, and a private open-air terrace with ocean views.
The new restaurant will continue to offer upscale beachfront dining with a Mediterranean flavour, while the beach lounge hosts regular themed nights from acoustic music to movie nights under the stars.
Karma Reef is part of the Karma Group portfolio of brands which includes Karma Resorts, Karma Retreats, Karma Royal, Karma Estates, Karma Beach and Karma Spa.
It currently operates 30 resorts in more than 10 countries, including Australia, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Vietnam and Europe.
