London City installing high-tech airport security scanners
London City Airport is investing in new state of the art CT scanners to bolster airport security.
London City Airport announced a partnership with Leidos.
The upgrade means travellers can leave all items in their hand luggage, without removing laptops and liquids.
The new CT scanners will see an even faster airport security experience for passengers.
Chief Operating Officer, Alison FitzGerald, said: “Following our one-lane trial this year, we know the new CT scanners are high performing and our passengers love them.”
“The journey through the airport in 2023 will be even slicker.”
“Thanks to the Leidos solution, it also delivers the highest security.”
London City will be amongst the first UK airports to offer a full CT security service in 2023.
