In a move that TravelMole feels is long overdue, today it comes to light that many hospitality and tourism businesses are using the same training techniques on their staff that TV illusionist Derren Brown employs.
Skills council People 1st’ ‘s training company Stonebow reports that the likes of The Langham Hotel in London, Park Resorts and Tampopo Restaurants and City Cruises have all sent managers to learn the skills of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to use with their staff.
Following a development programme course called Accelerated Behavioural Change, managers learn how to use the discipline of psychology to “communicate with their staff”.
Mole hopes the sessions are as much fun as Brown’s tricks but somehow doubts it…
