Louis Cruises joins Amadeus
Mediterranean cruise specialist Louis Cruises has signed a five-year distribution deal with Amadeus to make it easier for travel agents and homeworkers to book its products.
Five of Louis’ 10 ships can be booked by UK travel agents, including its flagship the Louis Majesty, which carries 1,790 passengers.
UK general manager Peter Adamou said: “This new partnership with Amadeus allows agents to easily combine a Louis cruise with any airline’s flights – or rail travel – as well as pre- and post-cruise hotel stays, to create a complete cruise package.
Amadeus UK and Ireland managing director Tim Russell said: “We are delighted to enhance the Amadeus Cruise portfolio with the addition of Louis Cruises.
" Real-time information and the widest selection of cruise lines available in a secure, online environment delivers genuine productivity gains for travel professionals. With the addition of Louis Cruises, Amadeus is well positioned to help cruise bookers serve the diverse needs of the UK’s growing cruise holiday market.”
Louis Cruises will be launched and distributed on the browser-based Amadeus Cruise desktop sales solution for travel professionals, as well as the Cruise Application Programming Interface (API) for online sales, from Monday November 8
