Love Island boosts interest in Majorca
Searches for Majorca, where reality TV show Love Island is filmed, have increased 31% since the latest series started on ITV2 last month.
This summer’s hit show has had a far bigger impact on travel than rival TV show Ex On the Beach, according to flight booking site Kiwi.com.
Ex On the Beach saw an 8% increase in flight searches to Bali following the show’s airing.
Kiwi.com spokesperson Alison Couper said: "Whether you love it or hate it, Love Island has once again taken the nation by storm.
"We have seen a significant amount of Brits reacting to the TV phenomenon by searching for their own romantic story with a last-minute trip to Majorca."
