Loveholidays signs deal with Tourico

Sunday, 23 Mar, 2017 0

Wholesale travel brokerage Tourico Holidays has announced a new distribution partnership with online travel agency loveholidays.

The London-based firm will now have access to Tourico’s inventory of US and Caribbean hotels as well as hotels in Spain, Portugal, and Mexico.

Tourico Holidays has nearly 30,000 contracted hotels in the US and more than 1,000 across the Caribbean.

The Florida-based firm says hotel bookings from the UK were up last year by over 10%.

During the same period bookings for Jamaica and Bermuda more than doubled, while Aruba and the Dominican Republic were up by 93% and 85% respectively.

"We’ve seen a healthy demand for transatlantic trips from our customers, and by integrating Tourico’s massive portfolio of US and Caribbean hotels, we’re better positioned for fulfilment," said Theo Demetriou, purchasing director for loveholidays.

"The new partnership will help loveholidays grow incrementally, in a sustainable manner, while continuing to put our customers first."

Loveholidays allows customers to compare trips without having to specify dates or destination.

Its proprietary search platform can search by budget, star rating, destination temperature and TripAdvisor ratings.

Referring to the loveholidays partnership, Emma Weber, Tourico’s director of sales in the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia, said: "They recognised that UK travellers were seeking US and Caribbean vacations, so they quickly engaged with Tourico, and now they’re delivering thousands of hotel options at prices you can’t find anywhere else."
