Luggage delivery service offers agents commission
Luggage delivery service Sendmybag is to pay travel agents 10% commission.
As an example of what they could earn, the company said agents would receive £6 to send a suitcase to Spain and back.
Customers will also receive a 5% discount on orders via agents.
Adam Ewart, founder of Sendmybag, said: "In today’s climate where we are plagued by excessive fees and lost luggage, consumers and travel businesses have become much more open to the idea of couriering baggage to their holiday destination, however for many this is a completely new concept to them.
"That’s why we launch our travel trade affiliate programme with the No Questions, Just Commission strapline, meaning any customer enquiries are handled by us seven days a week via our customer service team, no matter whether they’re at home or abroad.
"Our app also allows for ease of luggage tracking every step of the way. "
He said the decision to sell through the trade was a "natural progression" and "brings us closer to the hotels + flights + bags approach to travel which we think will be commonplace in a few years."
