Luxury Business Travel No Longer a Gamble in Vegas

While business in Vegas may be dropping due to the recent economic recession, business travel is still booming in Sin City.

The Signature at MGM Grand, a non-gaming, non-smoking all-suite resort has been the business travelers resort of choice. Signature was chosen by the most discerning of travelers on Orbitz.com as the Best in Stay for Business Hotels in Vegas. The first annual Orbitz.com 2008 “Best in Stay” Awards recognized more than 100 of the world’s top-rated hotels based on traveler reviews. Guests were asked to rate hotels on staff, room comfort, amenities, maintenance, location and value.

The Signature’s luxury hotel offers a sophisticated and serene, yet productive retreat for the business traveler. The luxury hotel is the only Las Vegas property awarded five stars, their highest possible rating.

“We could not be more honored to receive this compliment from the people who matter most – our guests,” said Vice President of The Signature at MGM Grand Frederic Luvisutto. “Businessmen and women are among the most seasoned travelers so their stamp of approval recognizes not only our unmatched amenities, but also the hard work of The Signature’s employees and our utmost dedication to guest comfort.”

The Signature is without the 24/7 casino crowd and noise, yet is fully equipped with all the high end luxury, bells and whistles. Their spacious accommodations range from 550 to 1,500 square feet featuring state-of-the-art technology including two phone lines, high-speed Internet access with wireless capabilities, flat-screen high-definition televisions, DVD/CD players and iHome clock radios for iPods. Full-size custom-designed office desks with hidden flat screen televisions also can be found in The Signature’s one- and two-bedroom suites.

Signature suites also can be used for small business meetings or an entire floor can be closed to accommodate larger groups, using each of the 16 suites per floor as individual stations. A selection of meeting space, ranging from 768 to 1,596 square feet, can accommodate groups of up to 130 while executive boardrooms are available for groups of up to 16. For those seeking an outdoor venue, poolside events can accommodate up to 700 attendees. Full-service audio/visual support, catering and specialized menus are available to customize any event. The Signature also offers a well equipped Business Center and 24-hour concierge service.

Business aside, when the agenda is relaxation, guests can find respite in king-size, pillow-top beds draped in 300-thread count sheets and soft, down comforters; bathrooms stocked with plush towels, cozy robes and June Jacobs’ spa products; and in-suite kitchens featuring top-of-the-line appliances and cabinets filled with bone china, glass stemware, sterling silverware and a selection of cookware to make the business traveler feel right at home for persona or professional entertaining.

As convenience and accessibility are paramount when it come to business travel, The Signature is conveniently located just steps from the MGM Grand Conference Center, one of Las Vegas’ most elegant and versatile meeting facility. Self-contained and on three levels, the 380,000-square-foot meeting facility offers 16 Certified Meeting Planners and can accommodate up to 10,000 people. Access also is available to the Las Vegas Monorail, a four-mile track that connects MGM Grand to the Las Vegas Convention Center and eight major resorts along the Las Vegas Strip.

It’s a good business decision and a great investment.
